WILLIAM MARSHALL : ORGANIC VISION by Peter Maber. William Marshall went to work at the Leach Pottery aged just 14, and would become one of its driving forces, overseeing its production of domestic ware for many years. But he was also one of the most gifted and original studio potters of the twentieth century, a master of powerful forms and uniquely textured glazes. He embodied the Leach aesthetic of uniting his life with his craft, and his natural humility, and a reluctance to self-promote, meant that his work has not had the exposure it deserves. In this book his pots are celebrated for the first time, beautifully photographed by Dr Maber across the seasons in the landscapes of West Penwith, that were one of his primary sources of inspiration.

Soft-cover: Format 21cm x 21cm. 80 pages with essay and 35 colour plates.
